Well, if you haven't you're about to learn about the greatest FREE online radio ever. PANDORA Anywho -- it's called the "Music Genome Project" (comes from the Human Genome Project which was an international mission to discover and label all of the genes within human DNA -- with that said, this is a project in which through this radio and the ability to type in what you like and pick and choose, this radio will eventually play every song you like and give you new ones you will also enjoy based on your input). You're supposed to type in a song you like, it'll play it and then find similar sounding songs, artists, etc -- based on the different production effects, the mood, genre, artists, vocals, harmonies, the type of singing, etc. It's crazy yet extremely on point. It's so weird. I typed in "Rock With U" by Janet and it gave me a bunch of other synthesized house songs. I love it. It's a new addiction. iTunes is offically ON HIATUS. At the moment it's giving me all 90's R&B -- Aaliyah, SWV, TLC, and now Brandy "Sittin' Up In My Room". (Used to be my JAM!) Also, you can bookmark artists and songs and the site will keep track of what you like and as your library grows, the bigger the mesh of songs that the radio plays and the more new ones get thrown in there. If it plays something you don't like, you just click "thumbs down" and it goes to a new song! How great is that?! I wish REAL radio did that. You guys should check it out. It's life changing - kinda. If not, it'll keep you occupied. Haha. |
